Description

One of the major changes observed in the heart is an increase in coronary artery disease with age. The prevalence of coronary artery disease increases markedly with age to at least 50% in men by the end of the sixth decade and is occult in at least 50% of these. Also, in women, coronary atherosclerosis increases with age unit the eight decade (from 30 though 89 years) when the atherocelerosis tends to level off.
