Description

Older mice exhibited an impaired ability to recognize a familiar object after 24 hours. The mice were presented with two objects: one familiar and one new to them. Assessment of memory impairment was derived from reduced time exploring the new object vs. the familiar one (i.e. it is assumed they spend less time exploring the novel object because they don not remember the familiar one).
