Description

The percentage of mesenchymal stem cells positive for beta-galactosidase was found to be significantly higher in individuals over the age of 55 vs. individuals under the age of 50 (4-fold average increase). No clear age-associated trend increase was evident in the data, but this might be explained by the small sample size (17 subjects).
