Description

With age, human hematopoietic stem cells increase in frequency, are less quiescent, and exhibit myeloid-biased differentiation potential. The gene expression profile is also altered, genes associated with cell cycle, myeloid lineage specification, and myeloid malignancies, being transcriptionally up-regulated.
