Starting with mid-life there are age differences in the classical conditioning of the eyelid response. Regardless of age, subjects with low amplitude unconditioned responses condition poorly. In the group of subjects with normal amplitude unconditioned response, there is a correlation between age and the total percentage of conditioned responses (0.58).
